A podcast platform built on Pakana. Listeners pay a small USDC fee per episode via stealth payment; creators receive USDC at their Stellar address with five-second finality. No platform commission, no ad model, no subscription that auto-renews while you forget to listen.
Podcast monetization has been stuck between two bad options for two decades: subscription bundles that lock listeners into platforms, or programmatic ads that erode the listening experience and underpay the creator. Neither serves the show. Per-episode micropayments in fiat have been impractical because credit card fees consume the entire economic margin on a 25-cent transaction.
Pakana Podcaster makes per-episode payment economically viable by routing payments through Stellar's sub-cent fees and the Pakana stealth payment protocol. A listener pays 25 cents in USDC; the creator receives roughly 25 cents in USDC. The platform takes nothing — its only role is to host the audio and the payment endpoint, neither of which is a meaningful cost center at modern bandwidth and ZK verification prices.
Free browsing of episode titles, descriptions, and creator pages. No account creation. The free tier exists because discovery is the show's marketing.
Tap "Listen". Your Pakana wallet generates a one-shot stealth payment of the episode's price (typically 0.10 to 1.00 USDC). The proof is submitted to PakanaTracker on Stellar Mainnet. Verification takes about five seconds.
The platform receives the verified proof, unlocks the audio stream URL bound to your stealth address, and serves the file. The creator's Stellar account already holds the USDC by the time the audio starts playing.
A creator publishes an episode by uploading the audio and setting a price. They receive USDC payments to their Stellar account in real time as listeners pay. There is no payout schedule, no minimum threshold, no platform-controlled escrow. The Pakana Podcaster platform never holds creator funds — payments route directly from listener wallet to creator wallet via the same non-custodial stealth payment primitives that power the Pakana Node.
Creators can offer free episodes (no x402 gate), pay-what-you-want episodes (x402 with a zero floor and an optional tip), or fixed-price episodes. Pricing is per-episode, not per-show — a four-part series can have part 1 free as a hook and parts 2-4 priced.
Pakana Podcaster is launching with a curated list of shows. Get an early-access wallet, listen to the first episodes, and try the per-episode payment flow.
